SHILLONG, Feb 21: Former Congress MLA, Bluebell Sangma, along with other individuals like Rafius Sangma of Rongjeng, Joyson Marak, Rimjeng Marak and others, have joined the BJP in the presence of the state party president, Ernest Mawrie.
The saffron brigade, in a statement, claimed that the BJP has become a choice for many like-minded people who want to bring a change in Garo Hills.
“The corruption by its alliance partners and anomalies faced in GHADC have sailed the minds of the leaders in Congress and other parties towards BJP,” senior BJP leader, Bernard Marak, said.
Claiming that the BJP will win many seats in Garo Hills in the 2023 polls, Marak said, “More will be joining the BJP in coming months.” He added that the march to end corruption and bring about good governance besides taking steps for mass development and employment will be the ultimate goal of the party and its karyakartas.
