Body of elderly man fished out of Wahumkhrah

SHILLONG, Feb 26: Police, on Saturday, fished out a dead body from Wahumkhrah that belonged to an elderly man.
Police have said that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination and a case of unnatural death has been registered.
However, the body has not been identified as of now.
It is suspected that the elderly man fell into the river in the late hours. The body was first seen by the residents across the river from Jaiaw Umpohliew and the police were later informed.
