SHILLONG, Feb 26: Sputnik Spartans defeated Nongskeh United by 47 runs in their Shillong Cricket Association First Division match after an all-round performance, here on Saturday.
Sputnik won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 180/6 in 35 overs. Player-of-the-Match Supriyo Chanda top-scored with a knock of 61. Synraplang bowled an economical spell, taking 2/17 from 7 overs.
In reply Nongkseh United were bowled out for 133 in 31.1 overs. Asa Warjri scored 39. Prashant took 3/17 while Aravind claimed figures of 3/26.
