Will contest in ’23 as Congressman, won’t betray party: Wahlang

NONGSTOIN, March 6: Nongstoin MDC Gabriel Wahlang has informed that he will contest as a Congressman from Nongstoin constituency during the 2023 Assembly elections.
Talking to media persons recently, Wahlang alleged the presence of dissidents within the Congress who are jumping the political ship. But I will stand with my ideology, a firm Wahlang said.
The MDC also rebuffed the reports of him contesting the Assembly elections on an HSPDP ticket.
Maintaining that people and supporters of Congress have faith in him to lead the grand old party from Nongstoin, Wahlang said he will not betray the trust of people by joining other political parties.
The MDC also said that he has faith in the leadership of Vincent H Pala.
