1st Div Cricket: Sunrise demolish Metallica

SHILLONG, March 11: Sunrise XI Shillong beat Metallica CC by 158 runs in their Shillong Cricket Association First Division, here on Friday. Deciding to bat first, Sunrise scored 237/9 in 35 overs. Arbind Kumar (60 runs off 80 balls) and Player of the Match Manish Sangma (55 runs off 44 balls) were the top-scorer for Sunrise. Imran Ali (2/24) and Zahir Alam (2/49) were the pick of the bowlers for Metallica. In reply, Metallica were bowled out for 79 runs in 22.3 overs. Opener Raj Thapa top scored for Metallica with 34 runs off 74 balls. While Ayush Sharma (12 runs off 13 balls) was the only other Metallica batter to get double figures. Basu Chettri (4/17) was the pick of the bowler for Sunrise, while Kiran Ray chipped in with figures of 2/12.
