SHILLONG, March 12: Sporting CC secured a comfortable 5-wicket victory over Riatsamthiah CC after Player-of-the-Match Rahul Hazarika’s solid 50-ball score of 79 in their Shillong Cricket Association First Division match, here on Saturday. Earlier, Riatsamthiah won the toss and elected to bat first before being dismissed for 160 in 35 overs. Shembhalang (39) and Shsisngi (39) were the top-scorers for Riatsamthiah. Santosh bowled a tight spell to finish with 3/30 from 7 overs while Manish took 2/23 in his 7 overs. In their chase, Sporting knocked off the required target of 161 losing 5 wickets in 26.2 overs. Rahul scored 79 while Ajay contributed a valuable 43 runs off 31 balls. Wellmanson took 2/34 in 6 overs.
