Over 3,000 attend RKM prog

SHILLONG, March 12: As many as 3,000 people partook in the celebrations of the 187th Birthday Anniversary of Bhagawan Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna Deva organised by the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sohra, on Saturday.
According to a statement here, the programme kick-started with the procession along with the Chariot of Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna, which was then followed by cultural events presented by the students of different RKM feeder schools under Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sohra.
NEHU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla was also part of the programme.
“The day’s programme ended with the arati performed by the students of the RKM Students Home, Sohra and Sohbar,” the statement said.
