NONGSTOIN, March 18: Moved by the problems faced by the locals in Maweit area of Nongstoin due to bad condition of roads, the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) Maweit Circle visited the office of the Executive Engineer, PWD (Roads) to submit a memorandum for road projects to be awarded to Maweit area under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The HYC, however, submitted the memorandum to the SDO, PWD Nongstoin, and the latter assured the group to look into the matter seriously. The Executive Engineer, PWD, was unavailable. The HYC has alleged that for several decades, the road project in the area was left unattended by the PWD.
