SPARK celebrates Holi with underprivileged children

SHILLONG, March 19: To bring the joys of Holi to the underprivileged children of the state, a special Holi function was organised by SPARK on Friday.
The special Holi celebration began with the singing of national anthem followed by a prayer service offered by a group of children.
In the programme, founder and president of SPARK, Shima Modak explained to the children the essence of Holi and encouraged them to always walk on the path of righteousness.
Later, teachers and children smeared colours on one another and participated in a joyful dance.
The organisation also urged everyone to work towards the cause of these underprivileged children and make every occasion special for them.
