SHILLONG, March 25: The state government on Friday asserted that it was ready for a dialogue with residents of Harijan Colony but only on the issue of relocation.
Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong welcomed the offer of the residents of Harijan Colony for a dialogue and said: “We are waiting for the formalities on the petition which the residents filed through the Court before facilitating talks with them.”
He made it clear that relocation would be the sole agenda of the dialogue since the government’s objective is to shift them from Iew Mawlong.
