SHILLONG, April 1: Suspended Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Ampareen Lyngdoh has termed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Meghalaya and Assam to resolve the six out of 12 areas of differences as a remarkable achievement of the MDA Government.
“Due credit must be given to the efforts put by in by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on the matter,” Lyngdoh said.
She stated that the public, at large, are satisfied by the fruitful outcome of the bilateral exercise on the ground.
“The approach adopted by the states has yielded a positive solution. The people of the state of Meghalaya look forward to a resolution of the Phase II of the border talks, hoping that those too will conclude amicably at the earliest,” she said.
