State improves its smart city ranking

SHILLONG, April 9: Meghalaya has improved its ranking among 100 Smart Cities in the country moving to the top among the Northeastern states, according to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
In a tweet, the CM said that the state has improved its ranking among 100 Smart Cities in the country from 99 last year to 69 this year, which is a positive jump of 30 places in the last six months.
“Of all the smart cities in the North East, Meghalaya now ranks No. 1,” the chief minister claimed.
