SHILLONG, April 10: The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH) Mawdiangdiang, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, organised a function to celebrate World Homoeopathy Day on Sunday to mark the 267th birth anniversary of Dr Samuel Hahnemann (Founder of Homoeopathy).
In his inaugural speech, chief guest of the occasion Prof Nand Kumar Mishra, retired Prof and head of Department, Repertory, SJN Homoeopathic Medical College Guwahati, spoke about the historic importance of Homoeopathy and how it evolved to be one of the leading healthcare system.
Prof Mishra also encouragedstudents to learn and understand the principles of homoeopathy for them to excel in their future practice.
Speaking as the guest of honour, Dr Abhijit Chakma, RRI (H) Agartala, highlighted the importance of Clinical Research in Homoeopathy and exhorted students to take this system of medicine to higher levels through proper research. Besides the dignitaries, faculties, staffs and students of NEIAH were also present during the function.
