Crowborough hotel likely to open before August 15

SHILLONG, April 11: The state government has asked the contractor engaged in constructing the Crowborough hotel to inaugurate the project before August 15.
Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) Chairman, Saleng Sangma on Monday said the Corporation is pushing hard to ensure that the hotel opens to the public before August 15.
Sangma disclosed that Taj Vivanta, which will operate the hotel, has appointed the general manager who is doing inventory for furniture and other requirements in the hotel.
The hotel, which will employ around 150 people in various capacities, will consist of several economy rooms, standard rooms, deluxe rooms, suites, banquet hall and a coffee shop.
