SHILLONG, April 13: The state Cabinet on Wednesday remained undecided on the roster system under the State Reservation Policy.
Informing that was the only agenda discussed by the Cabinet, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, “For the last 50 years since the Reservation Policy was there, the roster system was not put up. And as the High Court has directed to look into the matter, we are examining it now and we are doing our homework before we come to the final affidavit to be submitted to the Court.” On the High Court order stalling all recruitment process in the state until a roster system is put up, he said the state government is working on its reply.
He further informed that the government has created a rooster system for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
“In fact it was not there for the PwDs also but it was this government that did that in the past and based on the roster system now there is a proper chart that is followed while implementing the 4% job reservation for them,” Sangma said.
