Tura, April 22: With a view to strengthen the party at 41-Songsak Constituency, the AITC in Garo Hills on Friday, constituted a new Zone under the name AITC 41 Songsak Zone-A (Rongrong) and elected leaders to lead the new zone.
The leaders elected during the constitution of the new zone included, Salendra Sangma (President), Norosin Shira, Jonen Sangma and Probity Sangma (vice presidents), Jesh Sangma and Bripstar Sangma (general secretaries) and Awin Marak (Joint Secretary) besides 7 other executive members.
GHADC MDC from Rongrong, Rinaldo K Sangma, Samanda MDC Lahitson Sangma and other AITC Youth and Mahilla leaders were also present during the formation of the new zone.
