Tura kid dies after being swept away by stream

TURA, April 22: A nine-year-old lost his life after being swept away by the raging currents of a stream in Tura.
Arian Tengkam M Sangma of Srop Gittim in Tura, was returning from his school when he fell into the Kongbe stream while trying to cross the stream, a source said.
The child’s body was later retrieved by locals at some distance away from Sonanpara locality.
Meanwhile, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh has sought a report on the incident from the Superintendent of Police and the Rongram BDO.
