TURA, April 24: 4th teachers from Garo Hills have warned of resorting to agitation if the MDA government continues to ignore their long pending demands.
The annual general meeting of the All Meghalaya 4th Teachers Association, Garo Hills unit, was held recently at the Asanang UP School premises near Tura during which the decision was taken.
During the meeting, a resolution was unanimously taken to continue the fight for ‘equal work, equal pay’ as well as the regularisation of their services.
The teachers are also looking at the option of moving the High Court of Meghalaya on the matter of ‘equal work, equal pay’ along with their counterparts in the category of assistant teachers.
