SHILLONG, April 26: Indore-based airline FlyBig on Tuesday received approval of slot from Airports Authority of India (AAI) headquarters to operate the Shillong-Delhi flight and is likely to kick start its services from the Shillong airport from May 2.
It was learnt that the flight will operate twice a day which would be Mondays and Fridays. The airline has now been asked to complete different formalities before they start operating from the airport. “We are ready and they will have to submit their documents in advance,” an official of FlyBig said.
It may also be noted that the emergency access road construction work at the airport is going on in full swing.
