SHILLONG, May 1: A three-day international seminar-cum-workshop organised by the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, on ‘Economic and Social Impact of Medical Devices on the Healthcare Sector in the Country’ in blended mode came to a close on Saturday. The programme was organised by the Design Innovation Centre (DIC) and Department of Biomedical Engineering, NEHU, in collaboration and sponsored by ICSSR NERC NEHU and DIC.
The program brought forth experts from academia, industry, healthcare institutions, government agencies, medical experts, venture capitalists from across the country and abroad to deliberate over the vision and develop the roadmap for progress of the medical technology sector in the North East and India as a whole.
The sub-theme of the event focussed on the “Growth of Medical Devices in India – towards AtmaNirbhar Bharat”.
The Valedictory programme was held after three days of extensive deliberation between experts on Saturday.
