SHILLONG, May 2: A play titled Questionable Corona: A Dark Comedy was presented by the Department of English, Sankardev College, Shillong, in commemoration of William Shakespeare’s 458th birth anniversary and 406th death anniversary recently.
A paper presentation titled “Shakespeare and the Pandemic” was delivered by F Sahkhar, faculty member of the Department. This was followed by the staging of the play.
The play, written and directed by Dr Naomi Bhuyan, Associate Professor, concerns the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the general public and the manner in which they responded to the various facets of the situation.
