WKH assault victim goes into coma; no police breakthrough yet

NONGSTOIN, May 5: Police are yet to make any breakthrough in the case pertaining to the assault of a 38-year-old man, who has now gone into coma.
It may be mentioned that the victim, identified as Shaibandon Nongrum, was assaulted by unknown miscreants outside his shop at Mawpun Nongstoin market on Wednesday.
Sources in the police have informed that there are two suspects in the assault case.
One of them has absconded from his residence at Mawkhlam and the police are trying hard to catch the accused, it was informed.
Sources also said that the suspected accused is a junkie.
The family members of the victim have, meanwhile, appealed to the police to immediately arrest the assailants.a
