SHILLONG, May 6: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said the state government is working on the proposed roster policy.
The High Court of Meghalaya had in April passed an order, staying all recruitment processes until the state government puts a roster system in place.
Insisting that preparing a roster is a humongous and complicated exercise, the chief minister said all the departments are working on it.
“Very soon, we will come up with a proper affidavit to be filed in the court (in this regard),” the chief minister said.
He, however, said this has been an issue since the reservation policy was created.
The high court had slammed the state government for not having a roster system despite 50 years of statehood.
