Crematorium
The electric crematorium at Jhalupara has resumed its operations from May 10 after remained shut for 27 days. In this regard, people have been asked to contact operator-cum-manager of the crematorium, Prakash Sunar, at 8414060709 for cremation of body.

Counselling
The IQAC, BBS College (Career and Placement Cell), in collaboration with Chillibreeze Shillong, organised a one-day career opportunity and counselling programme along with a quiz competition for students. During the programme, the winner of the open quiz was also feted.

Inauguration
The Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Dr Virendra Kumar, will virtually inaugurate the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities CRC-Shillong under administrative control of NIEPMD Chennai, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, on May 17.

Event
The Mass Media Department of St Anthony’s College will host a two-day event called ‘Film Odyssey’ from May 13. According to a statement, the event comprises a photo exhibition from students of the department and screening of Path by Pradip Kurbah and Boroxun by Krishna Kt Borah. As part of the event, a question and answer round will also be organised.
