SHILLONG, May 10: A 26-year-old youth from Liewlong village near Pomlakrai, East Khasi Hills, was found dead inside the forest areas of Shillong Peak on Monday.
It was reported that the youth had gone missing on the night of April 29.
Dorbar Shnong Liewlong along with the villagers had been conducting a search in and around Shillong Peak areas since the night the youth had gone missing.
After the youth’s body was recovered, a police team along with the dog squad rushed to the spot after being informed by the Dorbar Shnong.
The relatives had earlier filed a missing report with Madanrting Police Station.
