Man drowns in Moopun falls

JOWAI, May 17: In another tragic incident of a loss of human life, a man from Rajasthan who reportedly worked as an employee of a hardware shop in Mooralong Jowai drowned in Moopun waterfalls in Mutong village on Sunday while he was on a picnic trip to the venue along with his friends.
The person has been identified as Monu Mahariya.
At the time of filing of this report, his body was not retrieved from the water body as the water level had risen due to heavy rainfall.
