Religious prog
Sri Sri Ramthakur Samiti will organise its annual festival at Rilbong Puja Mandap on Saturday and Sunday. On the first day, ‘Ganga Abohon’ will be held, marking the beginning of the programme at 4 pm, followed by Satyanarayan puja and kirtan. On Sunday, the programme will start from 6 am to 8.30 pm with Balyabhog to Satyanarayan puja. Bhog prasad will be distributed at 1.30 pm. Namkirtan team will arrive from Mariani, Assam. Sayesha Ghosh along with Rilbong Ganesh Mandir Bhajan Mondoli will perform bhajan during day time.

Award
The Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, has congratulated one of its founding members, Dr. Paromita Deb, for receiving Young Academics Award from the Institute for Applied Geophysics and Geothermal Energy at RWTH Aachen University. Deb, who lives in Germany, was awarded first prize for her dissertation on Resource Assessment and Performance Predictions in Unconventional Geothermal Reservoirs.

Office-bearers
The Gurdwara, Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Shillong, recently elected its office-bearers. According to a statement, Raminder Singh was elected as president, Jaspal Singh Kapoor, Manjit Kaur Sondhi and Harmit Ranhotra were elected as vice presidents, Dr KS Sehdave as general secretary, et al.
The Meghalaya Stenographers Service Association will hold its annual general meeting at 3 pm on Friday for the election of new office-bearers.

Health camp
The Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives’ Union, Shillong, will organise a free health camp at 10 am on Sunday at Hindu Mission, Lower Mawprem. The health camp will be organised as part of the golden jubilee celebration of CRU.

Launch
‘Upscaling Aapda Mitra’, a National Disaster Management Authority-funded scheme, will be launched in East Khasi Hills during a programme on Monday at Central Training Institute, Mawdiangdiang.

Marathon
Dr. H. Gordon Roberts Hospital, Jaiaw, as part of World Hypertension Day, will organise a marathon at 5:30 am on Saturday.
