Over 200 avail benefits of free health camp

SHILLONG, May 22: A free multi-specialty medical health camp was organised at Hindu Mission premises here by Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives’ Union (CRU) Shillong on Sunday as part of its golden jubilee celebration.
Some of the senior doctors from Shillong were present in the programme including Dr KS Elangbam Singh, who inaugurated the health camp.
In spite of the rainy weather, more than 200 patients were treated by the doctors during the camp. The program commenced at 10 am and ended at 4 pm.
“We on behalf of the CRU Shillong would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, members of Hindu Mission and all the sales employees (comrades) for making this event a grand success,” it said in a statement issued here.
Other doctors who were present include Dr Andreas Dkhar, Dr H Giri, Dr Debasish Das, Dr Abhijit Das, Dr S Warjri, Dr WL Mawlong, Dr Vinayak Roy, Dr R Wankhar, Dr M Bareh, Dr Hanifa Aktar, Dr Anamika Mall and Dr Kiran Khuswah.
Also, general secretary of Hindu Mission, Bidhur Das, and general secretary of Meghalaya Joint Council of Trade Unions and Associations, JL Das, also attended the health camp.
