EAC chief’s inspection of IAF station in Hasimara concludes

SHILLONG, May 24: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal DK Patnaik, inspected the Air Force Station in Hasimara between May 22 and 24.
According to a statement, Patnaik was received by Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Hasimara, Air Commodore Ashish Srivastava.
“The Air Marshal was presented with a Guard of Honour on arrival and briefed on the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the Station,” the statement said.
Patnaik, in his address to the personnel, stressed on the importance of the base owing to its strategic location and also because the latest fighting machine of the Indian Air Force is based there. “He also impressed upon the personnel that operating the latest generation Rafale aircraft brings in additional responsibility,” the statement added.
