Olympiad
The Department of Chemistry of University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) will organise its flagship programme ‘Meghalaya Chemistry Olympiad-2022’ for students of the classes VIII, IX and XI of schools in Meghalaya. A statement in this regard informed that the Olympiad will be held in August. Dissolution
The state president of (R) Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has dissolved the existing district committee of South West Khasi Hills in view of inactivity of the office-bearers. According to a statement, the district committee was dissolved during a meeting at Mawkyrwat Circuit House on May 14. “At the same time and in the same meeting after dissolution of the existing committee, the state president has constituted a new district committee of South West Khasi Hills, consisting of 19 office-bearers, led by Shongdorlang Nongsiej as the district president,” the statement informed.
Office-bearers
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), North Shillong unit, was recently constituted in the presence of state BJYM president Krison Langstang, general secretary S Lyngdoh and youths from the constituency. Daniel Diengdoh and Everlastman Shangdiar have been elected as president and general secretary respectively, among 25 other executive members.
The Meghalaya Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee has approved the list of office-bearers and executive committee members for South Shillong Block. Hamsya Chen has been appointed as president besides others.
