Join hands to fight TB: WHO officials

SHILLONG, May 28: World Health Organization (WHO) officials on Friday made a clarion call to join hands in the fight against tuberculosis.
According to a statement, a team of WHO officials from Meghalaya and Assam were part of a workshop organised by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USTM, in collaboration with World Health Organization (NTEP), North East Region.
The workshop, thematised on ‘Role of WHO in Quality Practises in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences’, saw the WHO officials discussing about the various roles undertaken to eradicate tuberculosis from India by 2024.
They also held interactions with the students, and urged them to join hands in the fight against tuberculosis.
