SHILLONG, June 1: A fresh controversy has sparked in the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) after retired Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Corporation, Vinod Kumar Singh, continued to attend office on Wednesday, a day after he retired from the post.
The employees were surprised to see Singh physically attend office.
Sources said that the retired CMD continued to perform his official duty on Wednesday. “How can a retired official still perform his official duty,” sources questioned.
It was also learned that during his tenure, Singh would mostly function from the NEEPCO branch office in Guwahati and was hardly seen at Shillong headquarters.
