Man assaulted in city; no arrest yet

SHILLONG, June 2: Miscreants assaulted one Sudeep Nath reportedly near Umsohsun on May 30.
Police, on the other hand, are yet to make any arrest.
“Investigation is on to identify and arrest the people involved,” police said.
According to a late report, Nath was assaulted while he was returning from his workplace with one of his friends to attend a religious programme.
After the assault, he was first taken to Shillong Civil Hospital and later shifted to NEIGRIHMS.
The Meghalaya Nath Welfare Society, of which the victim is a member, has strongly condemned the assault.
