Man gets 10 yrs of imprisonment for raping minor

TURA, June 17: A man from East Garo Hills has been sentenced to ten years of rigorous imprisonment for repeatedly raping a minor for over a period of time.
District and Sessions Judge/Special Judge POCSO, M Skhemian, recently awarded one Starson K Sangma ten years of imprisonment for raping a 10-year-old.
According to East Garo Hills Superintendent of Police Bruno A Sangma, the convict had not only sexually assaulted the minor but also threatened her with dire consequences.
