Council meeting of Road Congress

SHILLONG, June 19: The 222nd mid-term council meeting of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) was held here on June 17 and 18.
The two-day meeting hosted by the State PWD was attended by delegates from various central government departments, state PWD, PSUs, IITs & engineering institutions, contractors, consultants, etc.
The meeting was inaugurated by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, via video conferencing in the presence of PWD (Buildings) Minister, Dasakhiat Lamare.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma also addressed the meeting virtually. During the council meeting, 13 new technical codes, guidelines and manuals were released by the IRC.
