Agatha launches music incubation in Tura

Tura, June 21: Tura MP Agatha K Sangma, on the occasion of World Music Day on Tuesday, launched the Prime Music Incubation sponsored by Prime Meghalaya in collaboration with the Durama Association of Music and Arts (DAMA) at the District Auditorium in Tura.

The launching took place in the presence of West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Swapnil Tembe, Sub-Divional Officer (C), Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division, Vibhor Aggarwal, members and officials of Prime Meghalaya, music enthusiasts, school children and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion Agatha said that music incubation is providing opportunity to all the talented young people to actually showcase the immense talent they have and provide them with technical and other forms of support that they would require. She also informed that the government recognizes and supports what the youth require and through the initiative of launch-pad, it is giving an opportunity or platform where the young talents can explore their interests and their talents.

On the occasion, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner delivered the welcome address. Others who also spoke on the occasion included Executive Director of Prime Meghalaya, Jagdish Chellani and Program Manager of Prime Meghalaya, Flo Hofer.
