Jowai, June 23: Dr HH Mohrmen, a well-known columnist and environment activist, has joined the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).
“I decided to join the party (AITC) as I have observed that it is a party that will lead India in the near future as a national party,” Mohrmen said.
He informed that prior to joining the AITC, he had thorough discussions on various issues, including the safeguard of the rights and interests of the tribal populace.
“I personally have put one condition that no one from the party should stop me from taking any corruption issues particularly with the Jowai constituency,” he said.
“I will work on my own vision and blueprint, without any interference from the party,” Mohrmen maintained.
