SWKH college head’s name in India’s top 10 best principals

MAWKYRWAT, July 4: Principal of Sngap Sing Syiem College Mawkyrwat Kyntiew Kupar Nongsiej has been conferred with the ‘National Education Brilliance Awards 2022’ and has been included in the list of ‘Top 10 Best Principals in India’.
The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) South West Khasi Hills also felicitated Nongsiej during a function at the college on Monday.
Speaking at the function, Nongsiej informed that various criteria were taken into consideration before selecting him for the award.
“It was based not only on teaching or management but in connection with the community here in South West Khasi Hills district,” Nongsiej said, adding that during COVID-induced lockdown, the college, with the contribution of some people, had distributed food items to the people in different villages.
Meanwhile, the KSU leaders expressed hope that this recognition will inspire the youths of Mawkyrwat area and South West Khasi Hills district to strive for excellence and make valuable contributions to the society.
