SHILLONG, July 8: After a brief lull, unidentified miscreants, numbering around 20, assaulted a person in broad daylight on Friday.
Police said the incident happened at around 4 pm near SBI Last bus stop way leading to Batti Bazar, Laban. Around 20 boys came in cars, motorbikes and scooties and assaulted one Anupam Dey and fled, police said, adding the victim sustained injuries and was sent for medical examination but he was discharged after first-aid.
