Documentary, book released in city

SHILLONG, July 8: As part of Statehood Day celebrations, a documentary titled “Meghalaya’s Journey: Visions, Achievements and Challenges” and a book titled “Ki Snap Jingngeit U Khasi” by BL Mawphlang was released in a programme organised by Sankardev College, Shillong on Friday. The programme included a discussion on the theme “Meghalaya’s Journey to Statehood”.
KHADC CEM Titosstarwell Chyne was the chief guest of the event and the panellists were Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Assam University Moses Kharbithai, The Shillong Times Editor Patricia Mukhim and UDP leader Paul Lyngdoh.
At the same time there was an induction of the book, “Glimpses on Political Developments in Meghalaya” authored by the Head of Political Science Department, Sankardev College EM Tariang into the college library.
At the inaugural programme, the principal of the college, Eureka FP Lyngdoh delivered the welcome address and Vice Principal Kenneth Chyne presented the vote of thanks.
