USTM felicitates journos

SHILLONG, July 9: The University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Saturday honoured journalists from the region in recognition of their contributions, during the USTM Media Conclave-2022.
This year, the conclave was thematised on ‘Is Media Still the Fourth Pillar of Democracy?’
According to a statement, the programme was attended by India Today Executive Editor Kaushik Deka as the chief guest, Prag News Editor-in-Chief Prasanta Rajguru, The Assam Tribune Executive Editor PJ Baruah, USTM Chancellor Mahbubul Hoque, Vice Chancellor Prof GD Sharma, et al.
While the USTM Media Excellence Award was conferred upon Sadin Editor Anuradha Sarma Puzari and Da News Plus Editor-in-Chief Pranay Bordoloi, the USTM Media Achiever Award-2022 was conferred upon The Assam Tribune staff reporter Manash Pratim Dutta, U Peitngor Assistant Editor Bhabok M Laloo, Assistant News Editor and Anchor at ND24 Manash Pratim Deka, Batesi TV journalist Ribha Merry Suchiang, Assistant Editor & NE Correspondent, Indian Express, Tora Agarwala.
