MLA asks govt to nip drug menace in the bud

SHILLONG, July 17: West Shillong MLA Mohendro Rapsang has asked the state government and the Home department to nip in the bud the alarming challenge of drug abuse in urban areas of the city including his constituency.
The legislator said that the challenge of drug abuse is worrisome not only in his constituency but many other constituencies, while emphaisisng that the problem not only affects the youths but also their families.
“The state government and Home department must nip the problem in the bud. We are here to support the government,” he said.
