Real Sociedad have signed Japan forward Takefusa Kubo on a five-year contract from Real Madrid, the LaLiga clubs announced on Tuesday. The 21-year-old leaves Real Madrid after several loan spells, including last season when he played for Mallorca.

Bayern Munich signed Netherlands defender Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus for 67 million euros ($68.6 million) on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old De Ligt is Bayern’s first major signing since agreeing to sell star striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona last week, and Juventus said the fee for the Dutchman could increase by 10 million euros ($10.2 million) in conditional payments.

Central midfielder Morten Thorsby has joined Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin from Seria A club Sampdoria, both clubs have confirmed. The 26-year-old Norwegian has put pen to paper on an undisclosed contract and has received jersey No 2, the same number he wears for the national team.

American forward Haji Wright is staying with Turkey’s Antalyaspor, agreeing Tuesday to a three-year contract. The 24-year-old from Los Angeles spent last season at Antalyaspor on loan from the Danish club SønderjyskE. He scored 14 goals in 32 league matches and had a seven-game scoring streak that ended in May’s season finale.
