City schools shine in CBSE exams

SHILLONG, July 22: Shillong-based schools have fared well in the All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination 2022 conducted by the CBSE, the results of which were declared on Friday.
According to a statement, in the Army Public School (APS) Shillong, whilst 24 out of 100 students of class X scored 90 per cent and above marks in aggregate, 33 out of 164 students of class XII scored 90 per cent and above marks in aggregate.
Tanuska Chakraborty of class X secured first position in the school by scoring an impressive aggregate of 97.6 per cent marks.
With regard to class XII results, Sainava Modak from Science stream, Shorashi Chokhani from Humanities stream and Pragya Sharma from Commerce stream were the department toppers with 97 per cent, 96.2 per cent and 96.2 per cent respectively.
“Several laurels have been brought to the school by the sensational achievement of many students. Divyendu Kashyap of Class XII secured 100 out of 100 marks in Chemistry, Kelly Sharonia Langstieh of Class XII scored 100 out of 100 marks in Biology, Shubhangi Singh of Class X scored 100 out of 100 marks in Science and Rikynti Kharkongor of Class X scored 100 out 100 marks in English Language and Literature,” a statement in this regard said.
Similarly, BK Bajoria School has obtained cent per cent pass result with 194 securing first division out of a total of 204 students.
“Naman Chokhani of Commerce stream topped the school with a total of 96.2 per cent, scoring 100 per cent in Accountancy, while Alicia Faustina Sohtun from Science stream stood at 2nd position with an aggregate of 94 per cent,” a statement in this regard said.
