Miss Meghalaya slated for September

SHILLONG, July 22: After a two-year COVID-19-induced pause, the third edition of ‘Miss Meghalaya 2022’ will be held in September.
The winner of Miss Meghalaya will be awarded cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and will represent the state in the Miss North East 2022, slated for October in Kohima.
The first runner-up and the second runner-up will be awarded Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Talking to reporters, member of Miss Meghalaya Organisation Aakriti Shen said that they are happy for being able to host this event again and is befitting since Meghalaya is celebrating its 50 years of statehood.
Another member of the organisation Nazareen Kharrubon informed that the audition for the beauty pageant will be held at Youth Hostel on August 20.
