DP Wahlang to take over as Chief Secretary

SHILLONG, July 27: Additional Chief Secretary Donald P Wahlang has been appointed the new Chief Secretary of the state.
A notification issued by the government on Wednesday said that the additional chief secretary to Education, PHE and Home (Political) departments, who also functions as the CMD of MeECL and its subsidiaries, has been appointed as the chief secretary with effect from the date of superannuation of outgoing Chief Secretary Rebecca V Suchiang on July 31.
Wahlang, a 1993 batch IAS officer, will also function as the State Vigilance Officer.
