SHILLONG, July 30: The Meghalaya Tourism Development Forum (MTDF) has condoled the demise of former Home Minister Chairman RG Lyngdoh.
According to a statement, the MTDF also held a special condolence meeting in memory of Lyngdoh, who is also its founding Chairman.
“Among his numerous achievements RG Lyngdoh played one of the most important roles in his lifetime as the founding Chairman of the MTDF and the Forum felt indeed fortunate to be a part of this noble exercise under his able leadership,” the statement said.
The MTDF also informed that it was Lyngdoh who had felt that the Forum should not only consist of stakeholders from the tourism industry but also from different professional backgrounds.
“Such is the vision of Bah RG Lyngdoh who believes that all can play a leading role in contributing to the promotion of tourism which bears testimony to the growth of tourism as seen today,” it said.
