SHILLONG, July 31: North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong organised the three-day-long Global Hospitality and Tourism Conference on Contemporary Marketing Paradigms in collaboration with the Centre for Management Studies, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, which concluded on July 29.
Organised by the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, NEHU, at Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, the organizers were offered financial assistance to hold the conference from the Ministry of Tourism, Department of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh, NABARD, Arunachal Pradesh, and ICSSR- NERC.
The conference, conducted in hybrid mode with dignitaries and participants from all over the world, was divided into four technical sessions covering the different dimensions of tourism and hospitality marketing.
Moreover, two panel discussions on ‘Prospects and Challenges of Tourism in Arunachal Pradesh’ and ‘Marketing of Food and Beverage Tourism’, besides a plenary session by Prof (Dr) Jay Kandampully, Professor Service Management and Hospitality, The Ohio State University, USA, were organised during the three-day event.
More than 100 delegates attended the session from different parts of India. In total, there were 40 presentations made during four technical sessions.
