BSF Meghalaya celebrates ‘Raksha Bandhan’ on international border

Shillong, Aug 10: The BSF Meghalaya Frontier in collaboration with Maarvadi Sammellan Mahila Samiti here celebrated ‘Raksha Bandhan’ on the international border as well as in BSF camp Mawpat here.

During the celebration, women from Maarwadi Sammelan Mahila Samiti and girl students from R. B Anoopchand Secondary School tied Rakhis to the BSF troops deployed at Dawki Border as well as to BSF officials at Shillong, as a bond of love and brotherhood.

Expressing happiness at the celebration, BSF personnel felt delighted and said, “We are not able to celebrate every festival at our homes so we miss doing such things, but this celebration has made us feel at home and this is worth remembering for a long while. Such moments boost our morale to perform duties”.
