Investiture ceremony in city

SHILLONG, Aug 11: An investiture ceremony for the first batch of ‘Rangers and Rovers’ of Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) unit was on Thursday held on the university premises.
According to a statement, the ceremony was attended by secretary of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides W Lyngdoh as the chief guest, officers of Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, MLCU Vice Chancellor Prof. TK Bamon, and faculty members and students of the university.
“A total of 35 students were inducted as first batch of members to the MLCU unit of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, out of which 12 were inducted as Rovers and 23 inducted as Rangers,” the statement said.
